HEALTH PROGRAM

The health of our population, the town or village, is a serious concern due to illnesses and the financial situation of the people. Mutual health is nonexistent. The population needs to somehow find the money needed. The poor die unattended.

Included among the diseases that cause high mortality, we can mention: malaria, anemia, parasites, malnutrition, gastro-enteritis, typhoid, tuberculosis (missing, back in force in the disadvantaged). AIDS remain an open problem requiring awareness on prevention and voluntary testing. Thus BUMI is committed to treating and especially preventing disease by health education sessions and nutrition.

AGROPASTORAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

This program was initiated in order to mentor families and unemployed youth and the BUMI project itself for food self-sufficiency.

CULTURE OF PEACE AND CIVIC EDUCATION

In the Territory of Malemba, BUMI has invested in training sensitisers which carry the message of peace, respect for fundamental rights in the various villages that have experienced war.
